“One Cutting Permit” submissions for Woodlot Licensees and Community Forest Agreements can be generated for crown land and private land harvests. Data is entered/managed the same as regular Cutting Permit submissions with a few exceptions to indicate the submission follows the rules for "1 CP".
This submission type will create the Cutting Permit in FTA then the District will Add the individual blocks in FTA as the Notice Of Commencement letters are received which enables RESULTS submissions to be accepted.
Cutting Permit
- Create a Cutting Permit under Tenure - Admin - Cutting Permits
- Enter CP attributes as usual with the following exceptions:
- Salvage Code must be SSS
- CP Submission Requirements - Description must be:
“Woodlot 1 CP Application - not a SSS Application”
or
“CFA 1CP Application - not a SSS Application”
Cut Block
- Create an Opening with Gross Area = 0.6
- File ID must be: 1CPCL
- No Standard Unit(s) needed
- Select Licence
- Select CP ID created above
- Block ID is required- name the block with a name of your choice. A typical block name is "1"
- Enter GIS ID
- FTA - Net Merch. Area = 0.6
- Block Description: (see below)
Spatial Data
Spatial data should be a triangle positioned within the WL/CF boundaries. (An equilateral triangle with 118m sides has a suitable area.)
The spatial data used for FTA "One CP" SSS submissions requires 2 more attributes in addition to GIS_LINK:
- LICENCE (Forest Licence), and
- CP (Cutting Permit number)
Private Land Harvest
Same as Cut Block above except the spatial block should be on Private Land portion of Woodlot, and the Block Description must indicate it is Private Land (see below).
Block Description attribute
- Enter in Opening Details - FTA Section - Block Description
- Block Description is mandatory and must be entered exactly as described below.
Woodlot: “SSS indicates WL 1 CP CL”
Community Forest: “SSS indicates CFA 1 CP CL”
Private Land: “SSS indicates WL 1 CP P”
