After Survey data has been entered or loaded into Phoenix Connect, the compiled survey results can be used to update Forest Cover Stratum records and Milestone dates.
The Update Forest Cover and SU Milestones button is on the Survey - Details page Survey Unit grid and is only enabled when a Stratum is entered on the Survey Unit (column 5 in the grid).
- Click the Update Forest Cover and SU Milestones button to update/create the corresponding Forest Cover Stratum record and update the Standard Unit Milestone.
Forest Cover Update
- If a Forest Cover Stratum ID and Area matches the Survey Unit Stratum and Area, the Forest Cover record is deleted and re-created with all the Survey Details
- If there are no Forest Cover records with Stratum ID/Area matching the Survey Unit Stratum and Area, a new Forest Cover record is created with all the Survey Details
Standard Unit Milestone Updates
Note: Opening Milestone dates may also be updated (see conditions below).
Regen
- When the Survey State is ‘REGEN’, the Regen Met date for the corresponding Standard Unit will be populated with the Survey Completed date if the following conditions are met:
- Survey Unit Area is equal to the Standard Unit Area
- Standard Unit Regen Met date is empty
- If all Standard Units for an opening have a Regen Met date AND the Opening Regen Met date is empty the Opening Regen Met date will be populated with the latest Standard Unit Regen Met date.
FG
- When the Survey State is ‘FG’, the FG Met date for the corresponding Standard Unit will be populated with the Survey Completed date if the following conditions are met:
- Survey Unit Area is equal to the Standard Unit Area
- Standard Unit FG Met date is empty
- If all Standard Units for an opening have a FG Met date AND the Opening FG Met date is empty the Opening FG Met date will be populated with the latest Standard unit FG Met date.
