This button is found on the Opening Summary page above the Forest Cover Grid. It can only be applied if no Forest Cover records exist on the opening.
When this button is selected, Forest Cover stratum records will be created as follows:
NAR
- A Strata with a State of 'NSR' will be created for each Standard Unit
- Stratum ID will be 1,2,3 or A,B,C based on the Configuration-Settings-General-NAR Label setting
- SU will be set and linked to the source Standard Unit
- Area will be the source standard unit NAR
- Forest Cover Inventory Status will be set to NSR
- Forest Cover Inventory Type will be set to NAT or PL depending on the source SU Regen Method
- Forest Cover Inventory Reference Year will be set to the (latest) Year of Disturbance Completed
- Forest Cover Inventory Site Index and Site Index Source will be set to the source Standard Unit Site Index and Site Index Source
NP NAT
- One Stratum with a State of 'NP' will be created for NP NAT area.

Stratum ID will be:
- the value specified in the Configuration-Settings-General-NP NAT.
- If no value specified it will be the next value in sequence after NAR stratas (1,2,3 or A,B,C)
- Area will be the total NP NAT area for the opening (not including Reserve area)
- Forest Cover Inventory Status-Type will be set to NP-NAT
- Forest Cover Inventory Reference Year will be set to the (latest) Year of Disturbance Completed
NP UNN - New functionality
- A Strata with a State of 'NP' will be created for each Standard Unit

Stratum ID will be:

the value specified in the Configuration-Settings-General-NP UNN plus the Standard Unit.
- Ex: Z1, Z2 (This helps show which SU the NP UNN area is netted out of)
- If no value specified it will be the next value in sequence after NAR stratas (1,2,3 or A,B,C) plus the Standard Unit value.

the value specified in the Configuration-Settings-General-NP UNN plus the Standard Unit.
- Area will be the total NP UNN area for the Standard Unit
- Forest Cover Inventory Status-Type will be set to NP-RD
- Forest Cover Inventory Reference Year will be set to the (latest) Year of Disturbance Completed
- Non-Mappable Component Reference Stratum will be set to the Stratum ID of the Stratum that was created for the Standard Unit the NP was netted out of.
- GIS ID will not be generated (MoF does not want Roads in Forest Cover submissions)
Reserves (Merged)
This is the default setting in Phoenix Connect under Configuration-Settings-General-Reserves
- One Stratum will be created with a State of 'Reserve' for each Reserve Type/Objective grouping on an opening.

Stratum ID will be:
- the value specified in the Configuration-Settings-General-Reserves and an increment of 1,2 etc will be added if there is >1 Reserve Strata created based on Type/Objective grouping.
- If no value specified it will be the next value in sequence after NAR stratas (1,2,3 or A,B,C)
- Area will be the sum of the reserve area for the Reserve Type/Objective grouping
- Forest Cover Inventory Status-Type will be set to MAT-NAT
- Forest Cover Inventory Reference Year will be set to the (latest) Year of Disturbance Completed
- Forest Cover Inventory Reserve Type and Reserve Objective will be set to the source Reserve Type/Objective grouping.
Reserves (Do not Merge)
'Do Not Merge Reserves' must be checked under Configuration-Settings-General-Reserves
- One Stratum will be created with a State of 'Reserve' for each Reserve on an opening.
- Stratum ID will be the value entered in Reserves - ID
- Area will be the value entered in Reserves - Area
- Forest Cover Inventory Status-Type will be set to MAT-NAT
- The following fields will also be initialized from each Reserves record if the data exists:
- Reference Year
- Reserve Type and Objective
- Site Index and Site Index Source
- Basal Area
- Crown Closure
- Species, Percent, Age and Height
Note: GIS ID's will be generated and set as well based on the GIS ID definitions for Strata in Configuration Settings-GIS ID provided 'Autofill GIS ID on Add' is checked.
