This page allows you to define how Phoenix Connect will build GIS IDs on your Openings, Standard Units, Forest Cover and Activities.
The GIS IDs in Phoenix Connect are the identifiers used to:
- Find spatial features used in the creations of ESF submission files
- Display spatial features in Map Views
The most common format used to link polygon features are:
- Openings: Licence + CP + Block with an underscore or dash inbetween. Hint: Use the File ID as your GIS ID to keep it simple!
- Standard Units: Openings GIS ID + 'SU' prefix before the standard unit value.
- Strata: Openings GIS ID + 'ST' prefix before the standard unit value.
Autofill GIS ID on Add
With this setting checked, anytime you add a new Opening, Disturbance, Standard Unit, Strata or Activity, Phoenix Connect will fill in the GIS ID using the rules defined above.
Note: If you leave Disturbance empty (spatial data is not required for ESF submissions), the GIS IDs will not be filled in.
