The ESF Submission tab is used to generate an electronic file for a Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP) ‘Spatial Only’ submission. These submissions are used to attach spatial Forest Development Units (FDU) and Identified Areas to existing FSPs in the online government application: FSP Tracking System (FSPTS).
The FSP - ESF Submissions tab is located within an FSP under the Site Plan Master menu item.
- Click on the FSP tab
- Click on an FSP ID
Prerequisites
- MOF FSP ID
- Plan Holder(s) - Client Code(s), if multiple client codes they are to be separated by a comma example: 00123456,00425436
- District(s) - District Code, if multiple, separate by a comma
- Spatial Data loaded in Spatial Storage - SHAPE FILES - Right Side of Window (All Other Spatial)

At least one Forest Development Unit (FDU) or an Identified Area
(with associated GIS IDs and spatial data)
Create a FSP ESF Amendment Record
- Click the +Add button
- Enter the Amendment ID (required)
Note: This is the unique FSP amendment number.
If this is the 1st time you are submitting Spatial Data for the FSP, Use “0”
- Enter an Amendment Name (optional)
- Enter a Comment (optional)
- Select an FSP Contact (required)

- Select the Approval Required check box (optional)
- Click the Submit button
Validation
ESF submission requirements will be validated when an Amendment record is created.
Pass: A green OK to Generate icon will display on the far right in the list grid.
Fail: An orange “X” icon will display on the far right in the list grid.
- Click the orange “X” button on the list grid to view the submission validation message that indicates why the submission is not ready to be generated.
Note: Validation will fail when there is an ESF Generated date in the list grid. Edit a record to remove the date.
Generate an FSP ESF Submission File
When the ESF Submission file is generated, the ESF Generated date automatically populates in the list grid. An ESF Generated date must not exist for a submission to generate.
- Click on the OK to Generate icon in the list grid
Note: The Generate icon will be visible when the submission is validated
- Click the Download Submission link
- Save the submission file to your local directory
