Error Processing SHAPE Files
- Phoenix Connect will display the feature number and GIS_LINK of the last spatial feature that was successfully processed.
- Example: Features loaded 123 of 550 means we encountered a problem with Feature 124.
-
Please check with your SHAPE file provider and have them investigate these 'bad' features.
Note: ArcInfo starts its feature count at 0, so to find the bad feature from our example above it will be feature number 123. (124 minus 1). If using Q-GIS, the bad feature will be feature 124.
- Possible Issues: Feature with No Geometry or a Sliver Polygon
- Processing SHAPE files will stop on the first feature it encounters with a failure. We recommend that the GIS person checks the problem file for any other features that may be missing geometry or have Slivers.
- SHAPE datasets cannot be loaded into Phoenix Connect until errors are resolved.
